The process of simulacrum is perhaps an opinion, or indeed a need to have one’s own say: A pivotal moment that gets a ball rolling. In other words, something that pushes one over a threshold. With this in mind, as much as I love Nairobi… and my little nook; I fear and scream for a more sustainable future. The trees have disappeared, and towers of flats grow in
their stead.
Cross stitch is often seen as soft and feminine – let’s think about tactility and transference.
Tactility emboldens and stimulates care.
The audience of this work is welcome to touch the fabric.
