Ato Malinda
Ato Malinda (1981-) born in Nairobi, Kenya, previously made a living as one of the few Kenyan Performance Artists in the mid 2000’s. Her career culminated in an inaugural Smithsonian Institution African Artist Award.
Previous to this, she travelled over four continents, for fellowships, lectures, workshops and artist residencies – researching and exhibiting. Additionally, these experiences now contribute, to her creative short stories; plays; and zines. She holds a Master’s of Fine Art from Plymouth University.
