Ato Malinda is a Smithsonian-award-winning artist and researcher, from Nairobi, Kenya. Born on August 8th, 1981, she grew up in the Netherlands, Kenya and the U.S.A. She previously made a living as a Performance and Video Artist, but now focuses on Embroidery and Writing.
